Although
Sammie Garnett retired after 32 years of teaching, she hasn't slowed down. When
she's not having adventures or volunteering, she coordinates author visits for
Bay District schools and has found a new passion in writing for children and teachers.
Sammie and her husband Bill, a retired Navy SEAL, have a daughter, a son, a grandson
and two grand dogs. They live, work, and play in Panama City, Florida.

When
Sammie was looking for a Web Developer for her site, she knew just the person
for the job! One of her former fifth-grade students from Cedar Grove Elementary
School (circa 1987) was all grown up and working prosperously as an independent
graphic designer in the local area. The collaboration between teacher and student
was revived and reversed with this wonderful turn of events!
Thao Cai Cosgrove received her B.F.A. in Art Studio from the University of Florida.
She now works as a freelance graphics designer and artist. |
